Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wing Air Cadets
Cadets Flying High
Cadets and Staff from 2412 (Bordon & District) Squadron were fortunate to spend the afternoon of Friday 22nd February visiting 18 Sqn RAF Odiham.
This was the second part of planned visits to give the cadets a full understanding of all operational responsibilities of 18 Sqn.
After a full and detailed brief by FS Dave Neale (Deputy Air Cadet Liaison Officer), we were all kitted out with flying helmets and taken out to meet the Chinook. We were loaded on and taken for an amazing flight around the training area and over to see our Sqn Headquarters.
'Looking at Bordon from a different angle was a fantastic opportunity. I am so happy to have seen it. Today’s experience has motivated me to join the RAF as Aircrew' said Cdt Amy Barber.
I would like to thank FS Neale and 18 Sqn for giving my cadets such a great opportunity. We are looking forward to the next time.
