Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wing Air Cadets
Last week saw a contingent of staff and cadets from Hants & IOW Wing visit RAF Linton on Ouse for the Wing's Easter allocation of RAF 'blues' camp. During the week cadets from across the wing undertook a series of activities hosted by the station Air Cadet Liaison Officer/Team. During the packed week, cadets visited the Elvington museum and the National rail museum; North Region hosted an acquaint evening at the Regional Activities Centre, leadership exercises - including a high ropes course. As the week continued, the tempo remained high - a day on the range to hone their marksmanship skills; a cultural visit to York, and Adrenalin 'the home of the official ITV1 Krypton Factor Assault Course' all staff and cadets were put through their paces to complete the very wet, muddy but awesome course. The contingent was invited to visit and chat to various sections on the station, visited the memorial room and received an Aircrew presentation. The contingent also travelled to RAF Fylingdales - A great week and excellent opportunity. Thank you RAF Linton on Ouse.
