Hants and IOW Nijmegen team 2008 marched to success after completing a 52mile march in two days in under 12hrs, securing a place to participate in the Nijmegen marches this year.

The team consists of 10 individuals from different squadrons across Hampshire and they managed to take home 2nd place overall best ATC team and was presented a team medal for there efforts for the weekend.

Fg Off L Barfoot (424 Sqn) reunited with Flt Lt P Terry (OC 2428 Sqn) to try and repeat the success of previous years and they both understand Nijmegen can not be taken light hearted. Flt Lt Terry and Fg Off Barfoot have completed Nijmegen many of times and hopes this year will be just as enjoyable as previous.

Flt Lt P Terry has been running the Nijmegen marches for Hants and IOW since 1999 and has won the competition many of times.

Hants and IOW Nijmegen team will be off to Holland in July to complete a 105 mile march in four days.
