Wing DofE Expeditions 2008 |
The following three events are being organised by members of the Wing DOE panel to assist cadets in completing either the Bronze or Gold expedition sections of the award.
Bronze Training and Expeditions - 23 / 24 Feb 08
During the weekend of the 23 -24 Feb cadets will be able to receive training that will enable them to complete their Bronze award. In addition cadets who are trained who wish to complete either a bronze practise or assessed expedition may also attend. This event will be run from 1927 (Petersfield) Sqn. Training will cover all elements of the Bronze expedition section.
Gold Practise-Brecon Beacons - 21 / 24 March 08
Between the 21st - 24th March a practise and selection Gold expedition will be held in the Brecon Beacons. Cadets that wish to attend the Gold assessed expedition on the Isle of Arran, who have not completed a Gold practise expedition need to attend. This will also be run as a selection expedition to ensure that the cadets with the best chance of completing the assessed Gold expedition are identified.
Gold Assessed Expedition Isle of Arran - 19 / 26 July 08.
The Wing is again running a Gold assessed expedition on the Isle of Arran in conjunction with other AT activities. There will be space for 16 cadets to complete this section of their Gold award. To attend cadets must have completed a signed off Gold practise.
Any cadet wishing to attend any of the above named events are to submit their details to Sqn Ldr Hughes Wg DOE Officer via their unit OC and WHQ by the 31st Jan 08.
