Totton cadets feel the force!

2495 Totton DF Cadets had an opportunity to feel the full force of a Firemans hose in action on a recent visit to Redbridge Fire Station.

This is the second time Totton cadets have visited Hampshire and Rescue.  This visit continued on from the last visit where they were treated to more practical methods of fire control used to combat fires using the equipment on the new modern Fire Fighting Appliances used by Hampshire Fire and Rescue crews in the line of thier duties.

After a very interesting tour and demostrations of the equipment on the Fire Fighting Appliances and a comprehensive safety brief the cadets under watchfull eye of the Fire Fighters of White Watch were given the opportunity to have hands on and feel the full force of the Firemans Hoses used to extinguish fires.  Corporal Andrews commented that he was surprised it took 3 cadets holding on to the hose to keep it pointing in the direction required!

The visit provided a fantastic career window into the work of Fire Fighters which was greatly appreciated by the cadets of Totton DF who extend thier greatest thanks to the crew of White Watch for hosting the visit.
