Hampshire Youth oppotunities fund supported 1098's application to fund £10,000.00 towards a state of the art computer and flight simulator suit. The whole project will see three rooms within Fisher Building being transformed into state of the art learning enviroments. A computer suit will host 8 desk top computers all with internet access and networked onto a server to be able to access all acops online. A new state of the art flight simulator room will house two flights simulators and the lecture theatre will be transformed with new seating a even a plasma TV on the wall! Sergeant Paul Carter says "This is a great opportunity to bring Gosport into the 21st century, not only will we be offering our facilites to our cadet but will aslo be opening the doors for other organisations to come and use what we have to offer. I would like to thank Hampshire Youth Oppotunities Fund for supporting our application!"

The contractors are in the final stages of the wiring and we will be hopefully seeing computers being installed within the next 3 weeks.

Grasroots Fund Hampshire have also supported Gosport application to purchased some state of the art adventure and green equipment. This will enable the squadron to run even more Duke of Edinbourgh award  sessions and also enable the squadron to enhance its camping equipement. The fund funded £3500.00 for the squadron to purchase the following:-

• 10 4 man tents
• x2 12x12 tents
• x1 18x24 tents
• Trianagias
• 20 sets of waterproofs
• 20 complete sets of CS95 greens
• 20 pair of boots
• 50 torches
• Mess tins
• Waterbottles and a whole lot more!
