Exercise 'Martello Marauder III'
Location: St Martin's Plain Camp
Dates: 21 - 28 Jul 07
1. Following the success of last years Wg exercise 'Martello Marauder
III', a similar exercise will
take place over the period 21 to 28 July 2007. The venue will be St Martin's Plain Camp, Folkestone, Kent. Accommodation has been allocated for 100 Cdts and 30 Staff.
2. Three courses will be run for the on the camp;
Fieldcraft Basic, Fieldcraft Basic - Further Trg and Field Leadership.
All courses will include range periods, fieldcraft/field leadership trg, watermanship trg, an 18 hr exercise and interest visits. Cdts on Fieldcraft Basic will get a full L98A1 wpn trg course and fire it live, as part of their course. Cdts on the Field Leadership Course will be trained to use the L85A2 and fire it live, as part of their course
3. Eligibility criteria for each course is stated in the table below:

| Field Leadership | Snr Cdt, 16+, previously completed Fieldcraft Basic FT, L98A1 trained and current by WHT |
4. Due to the lead time in organising the camp and the activities, Units are asked to bid for places for cdts and staff by Fri 19 Jan 07, indicating numbers of cdts and names of interested staff. Units responding after this date will not be offered places. After this date interested Units will be sent an allocation of places for the camp and a copy of the Admin Order. No monies or consent forms are required at this stage. Cost is anticipated at £40.00 inc all staff.
5. Staff who hold relevant qualifications (RCO, WI, SAAInst, Obs Course and watermanship, 1st Aid) are particularly welcome to apply for places. Female staff are welcome to, to cover the female cdts.
